Female Ward

The female ward cares for women who need to stay in the hospital after surgery and emergency admissions.

Information for visitors:

  • In response to the coronavirus, we are currently restricting the visiting times and the number of visitors per patient.
  • You can use your mobile phone on the ward but requested to respect other patients while using it, especially when they may be asleep. Keeping your mobile phone on silent mode at all times.

General information:

Several beds: 24 beds in Gynaecology Ward whereas 19 beds in Female Surgical Ward along with side tables, overbed tables and drip stands. Also, Labor Room is inside the Gynaecology Ward and a separate area for PV Examination and CTG scan. On the same floor, inside the Gynaecology Department, Female OT is located.


  • 29 registered nurses/LHVs and a housekeeping team.

Gynaecology Ward:


From the main entrance, turn right at the main reception, then take the stairs or lift to the 2nd floor and follow signs for the Gynaecology Ward.

Ward rounds:

When you come into the hospital, you will be under the care of a consultant and team of FMOs. The team will see you every morning, evening and night during their ward rounds, which generally in all three shifts.

The nurses do drug administration rounds and at 6 am, 12 noon, 6 pm, and 12 are.

If you have any questions or problems, please talk to the staff nurse present on the counter. If she is unable to help, your questions will be directed to the nurse in charge that day or shift.

All staff caring for you will be wearing ID Cards.

  • Maternity services include 24 /7 normal deliveries plus vacuum deliveries
  • Emergency and elective c sections
  • Laparotomy fr ectopic pregnancy
  • Perineal repair
  • Resuturing of gaped episiotomy
  • Suction curettage for molar pregnancy
  • Gynae services include
  • Total abdominal hysterectomy
  • Vaginal hysterectomy
  • Diagnostic D & C for irregular menstrual cycles and endometrial polyps
  • Myomectomy fr fibroid uterus
  • Laparotomy fr ovarian cysts
  • A/P repair

Female Surgical Ward:

  • Consisting of four Chambers where Day Care patients and admitted patients are being looked after.
  • The Female Praying area and OPD B is situated inside the Ward.
  • Staff is available 24/7.
